Teresa Stewart – 350 Senior Games

The Nangwarry Netball Club celebrated a special milestone on Saturday, with club stalwart Teresa Stewart taking the court for her 350th senior game.

Teresa’s entire netball career has been with the Nangwarry Netball Club, and it has been a truly successful journey.

Starting from the junior ranks in the E2 team, Teresa progressed to the senior level where she played the majority of her games in the A and A Reserve teams.

She was fortunate to secure two premierships with the A Reserve team in 2004 and 2006.

Teresa played her first senior game in the B Reserve team at the age of 12 and even had the unique opportunity to play a B Grade game that year alongside her mother, Maureen.

She made her A Grade debut at the age of 14 in 1995, playing alongside her aunt Duff.

Additionally, Teresa represented the Mid South East Netball Association in Adelaide during her junior years.

Over the years, Teresa has consistently excelled, winning numerous club best and fairest awards and runner-up trophies, with the most recent being the 2023 runner-up in A Reserve, despite not finishing the season due to injury.

She has also been recognised at the league level, winning the under 15s best and fairest in 1994 and A Reserve runner-up in 2002.

Teresa has been an active and dedicated member of the netball community, holding various committee positions, including president, secretary and grant representative.

She has also represented Nangwarry on the Mid South East executive.

Her extensive knowledge and experience are invaluable, and she regularly coaches and umpires for our teams.

As a passionate Nangwarry player, supporter, and community member, Teresa is committed to the club’s success and actively contributes to achieving this goal.

Her legacy continues through her four children, three of whom are playing for Nangwarry in the junior ranks, carrying on the family tradition.

The Nangwarry Netball Club proudly congratulates Teresa Stewart on her 350 senior games, acknowledging her dedication and outstanding contributions to the club.
