Thieves help themselves to donations

Police are investigating a spate of donation box thefts in the Limestone Coast.

Just before 6am on February 12 the Penola Golf Course was broken into and a cashbox that was secured to the wall removed.

At 2am on March 5 a shed at Lake Leake Road, Koorine was broken into and a cash donation box taken.

Between 8pm and midnight also on March 5 an unsuccessful attempt was made to remove the donation box at the Tarpeena Memorial Hall.

Police are appealing to anyone with information about the break- ins to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
