Tigers ready to roar in 2024

North Gambier has announced the appointment of Jordan Hollitt and Nick McInerney as its senior co-coaches for the upcoming 2024 Western Border Football League season.

McInerney led the club as captain during the 2023 season, while Hollitt was the assistant coach to departing coach Ben Hardy.

The pair helped lead the Tigers to a grand final appearance in 2023 and will be eager to go further in 2024.

Both Hollitt and McInerney bring a wealth of experience on the field to the role and will hope to lead the Tigers to success in their new role at the club.

The pair will look to build upon the foundation laid by former coach Ben Hardy, who led the team from 2022 to 2023.

In the 2023 season, under Hardy’s guidance, the Tigers finished third in the Western Border Football League and ultimately reached the grand final where they went down to an unstoppable Millicent side.

As the coaching reins are handed over to Hollitt and McInerney, the club chose to opt for playing coaches after two years with a non playing senior coach with Hardy.

McInerney was the 2023 best and fairest for North Gambier after a terrific season leading the club on the field and Hollitt was just as important leading as the coach on the field.
