Tigers savage Crows

Kybybolite’s season debut thrashing of premiership fancy Keith highlighted the results in round two in the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League last Saturday.


The Tigers started their season after having the bye in round one in a strong statement as they took down the Crows by 48 points. 


The Tigers jumped out of the blocks in the first quarter with a five goal to nil opening quarter. 


The Crows were never in the contest after that. 


To Keith’s credit, they did kick seven goals in the fourth quarter, but the damage had already been done. 


Kybybolite recruit Billy Stretch kicked five goals in the victory. 


Stephen Craig, Darcy Ewerr and Angus McKenzie put through three goals each in the victory. 


The Tigers’ best players were Billy Stretch, Billy Laurie and Jared Deep. 


The Crows got five goals from Ben Simounds in a strong performance in the loss, with best players Simounds, Riley Wilsdon and Nick van den berg.


Kingston improved their season record to 2-0 by defeating Bordertown by 44 points at Gall Park. 


The Saints used a second half push to pull away from the Roosters and record the victory. 


James Siviour was strong for the Saints with three goals. 


Alex Barns and Jack Harding were other Saints to impact the scoreboard with two goals each. 


Kingston got great games from Harry Tunkin, Ben Rogers and James Siviour to lead the best players list. 


The Roosters fought all game long but could not get consistent scoreboard pressure throughout the game. 


Lachlan Murch led the Roosters’ scoring with two goals to be the only multiple goal kicker for the day. 


Troy Blackwell, Hayden Shuttleworth and Ben Jarrett were Bordertown’s pick of the players who tried hard all game to be named in the best players.


Mundulla held off a tough Padthaway team to record a seven-point victory. 


The Tigers were behind at quarter time, but a six-goal second quarter put them back on track. 


The third quarter was even before the Lions kicked a wayward 2-4 in the final quarter and fell short of getting over the Tigers. 


Darcy King, Jacob Pedlar and Billy Wiese led the Tigers in scoring with three goals each. 


The Tigers’ best players were Darcy King, Chris Curran and Daniel Noll. The Lions got a good goal-kicking performance from Troy Menzel, as he put through four majors during the game. Tobin Cox, Riley Faehrmann and Kiefer Sharkie kicked two goals each in the loss. 


The Lions’ best players were Tobin Cox, Riley Faehrmann, Kiefer Scharkie.


Lucindale recorded their first victory of the season with a thumping 141-point victory against Naracoorte. 


The Roos proved far too strong for the Roos to handle on the day. 


Ryan Kemp kicked eight goals to lead the Roos in scoring. 


William Gould also made an impressive debut game back at Lucindale with six goals as well. 


Lucindale’s best players were Ryan Kemp, Alexander Pitt and Anthony McCarthy. 


The Demons found it tough to score goals, but Aaron Slorach did a good job to boot three goals for the game. 


Lucas Leehane, Riley Mcmullan and Jack Edmonds were Naracoorte’s best players during the contest.
