Tools stolen from industrial site

Police are investigating the theft of Milwaukee power tools from a premises in Mount Gambier.

Just before 6pm on May 20, access was gained to an industrial business site on Commercial Street West, Mount Gambier.

A significant number of Milwaukee power tools and accessories were stolen.

Each tool and accessory were uniquely marked with an engraving.

Meanwhile, a man has appeared in court charged over recent break-ins and other offences in Mount Gambier.

As part of an investigation into a recent crime series, Mount Gambier Police with the assistance of Limestone Coast CIB detectives attended a Mount Gambier address about 6.20pm on May 20 and conducted a search of the premises.

It will be alleged officers located several items linking the occupant to a spate of recent break-ins and other dishonesty offences in Mount Gambier.

The 43-year-old Mount Gambier man was arrested and charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass (non-residential), two counts of unlawfully on premises, six counts of theft and illegal interference.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court where he was remanded in custody.
