Tragic end to Australia Day

AWOMAN has died and a second person taken to hospital, after a crash on the Glenelg Highway resulted in a tragic end to Australia Day.


The incident (tarp-covered vehicle, pictured here) happened just east of Coleraine, late on Sunday afternoon.


The Glenelg Hwy was closed for several hours.


The 64-year-old male driver was taken to hospital, the 67-year-old female passenger died at the scene; both from Mt Gambier.
