Tricky round looms on region’s netball courts

Round nine of Mid South Eastern Netball sees Nangwarry head down to Robe to take on the Roosters.

The Saints defensive combination of Carly Ploenges and Hayley Vanderhorst will have to work tirelessly to put pressure on Robe’s goalies Tori Gluyas and Sarah Laurie who are fed well by both Lucy Perkins and Annie Hunter around the ring.

Kylie Heaver will work hard for the Saints to move the ball down the court and feed with accuracy into her goalies, Ange Pratt and Tahlia Wilson.

Robe’s Ellen Ramke and Emma Grant work well together in the defensive circle and will apply defensive pressure to Nangwarry’s goalies.

After the final whistle blows Robe should come away with the points.

Tantanoola hosts Mount Burr this weekend, hoping to come away with another win.

Olivia Dean and Simone Westerman have combined with ease, making Tantanoola’s goalies earn every possession.

Mount Burr’s Meg Fennell and Tantanoola’s Casey Walker will battle it out on the wing, both fighting to gain the ball for their respective teams.

Emma Gould and Jami Walker’s accuracy in the goal circle for the Tigers will be a focal point, fighting to rebound any missed goals.

Mount Burr’s altered goalie combination of Ebony Clark and Madi Haggett worked well last week and will once again be an important part of the Mozzies’ attack line.

Tantanoola’s Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will work hard to keep the pressure on in the defensive end and will create turnovers for their side.

Both teams have the potential to come away with the points.

Hatherleigh will take on the reigning premiers at home this weekend in what will be a tough game.

Hatherleigh’s defensive combination of Demi Vanderhorst and Lara MacGregor will have hands to every ball, working overtime to put the pressure on the Magpie’s goalies.

Abbey Duncan and Kori Collins will make every possession count under the circle and shoot with accuracy.

Kalangadoo defenders Lauren Kain and Reanna Wetherall will apply to pressure in Hatherleigh’s goal circle, giving their goalies every possible opportunity to score.

Maddie Pulmer and Abby Wight will combine well in the goal circle for Hatherleigh, being fed with accuracy by Erin Watson and Tegan Telfer from outside the circle.

This game will be close, with Kalangadoo coming away with the win after a strong battle.

Glencoe will be looking to cement their position in the top four this weekend when hosting Port MacDonnell.

The accuracy of Malinda Markiewicz and Jenna Paproth will be vital for the Murphies, while the Demons’ Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine will need to put the pressure on before the ball reaches the circle.

The tussle between Donna Jaeschke and Liza Mutch through the mid court will be one to watch.

Toni Gilmore’s accuracy under the ring for the Demons will be beneficial, however Glencoe’s Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen will do anything they can to create turnovers and apply pressure in the goal circle.

After a tough fought game, Glencoe should come out with the points.
