South East Street Machines 43rd Annual Show ‘n’ Shine

There was plenty of chrome and classics on show at the Trident Tyres South East Street Machines 43rd Annual Show ‘n’ Shine.

The event, held at Mount Gambier’s Hastings Cunningham Reserve, attracted 130 entries on Saturday.

South East Street Machines president Dave Baudinette said the event was a success, with members pleased with the event.

“The drizzle in the morning did worry us a bit, but it cleared by about 10 and the rest of the day was fine and mild,” he said.

“We had 130 entries ranging from 1930’s era vintage cars right through to late-model high performance vehicles and everything in between such as hot rods, customs, classics and street machines.

“Entrants attended from all around the region, Millicent, Naracoorte, even a few from Portland that jumped through the hoops to get border passes and come over.

“A huge thank you must go to all the people that brought their pride and joy out for others to enjoy and to all the people who came through the gates for a look at all the cool stuff.”

Mr Baudinette said the Mount Gambier event was the longest continually running street machine show in the state and possibly Australia.
