Acompany that employs more than 350 employees in SA country towns, including the Limestone Coast, has been accused of underpaying workers.
The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association has lodged proceedings in the Federal Court on behalf of 64 former and current Eudunda Farmers employees.
The company either directly runs, or has a controlling interest in, several subsidiaries that manage 20 supermarkets across regional SA, including in Millicent, Kingston and Robe.
More than 60 current and former workers of supermarkets owned by Eudunda Farmers Limited have claimed they were misclassified and underpaid over several years. The union is seeking compensation for the workers as well as a court-ordered penalty for alleged breaches of the Fair Work Act.
