Alocal photographer has held her first exhibit in a unique location.
Mount Gambier’s Sarah Mitchell hosted a free photography exhibition for her business Ronelle Photography at the Melaleuca Hub.
The presentation showcased a series of monochrome portraits that captured the emotional connections between people and animals.
Ms Mitchell said the exhibition was a success.
“When I say the exhibition has been a success, it’s not just about the fact that I sold over half of the photographs and gained new clients who have already made bookings during both of the days or expressed interest in booking in the near future,” she said.
“The real success lies in the feedback I received. I now have different perspectives on what I can try differently moving forward. This is what matters most to me.
“At the end of the day, I’m not focused on being better than other photographers; I’m simply aiming to be better than the photographer I was yesterday.
“If I can continue to improve my knowledge and skills, that’s what truly holds value for me.”
Ms Mitchell said she “gained so much from this experience”.
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to stop by, have a chat, and enjoy a coffee,” she said.
“It was truly rewarding to have the public come in, chat about the photos and about different camera gear, and listen to everyone’s opinions and feelings about each photograph,” she said.
“The positive feedback was eye-opening, and it was incredible to see the impact these photos had on people. A few images, in particular, stood out to everyone.
“Many mentioned they could see the innocence, love and happiness between the animals and the people, which was heart-warming to hear.
“I’m also grateful for the opportunity this exhibition has given me. I truly hope that everyone walked away with something meaningful, just as I have.”
