Wattle Range office talks to be held

Community consultation sessions about the proposed $9.2m office in Millicent for Wattle Range Council will be held in Beachport and Penola this month.

Council held such an open gathering in Millicent last month and there were 70 persons present at the 90-minute session.

Mayor Des Noll said he was pleased to announce the two additional sessions following feedback received.

“Details of these sessions are still being finalised; however, I can confirm they will both be in August,” Mayor Noll said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank those for taking the time to venture out on what was a cold night to be involved in our recent community information forum at Millicent.

“It certainly was fantastic to see so many members of the community in attendance.

“I would like to advise that we have now had an opportunity to read and review all of the ‘post-it note’ questions raised on the night and they have been compiled, answered and published on our website.

“This document is available to view on-line.

“Anyone wishing to revisit what was presented at the forum will also find a copy of chief executive Ben Gower’s power-point presentation online.”
