WBFL U14 grand final

The Under 14 grand final offered up an upset as North Gambier’s excellent finals campaign finished with a win over minor premiers South Gambier.

Going into the match having finished third for the season North Gambier were the underdogs taking on South Gambier.

However North Gambier emerged victorious with a final score of 43 to 16, as it put on an excellent display from the first siren to the last.

North Gambier set the tone in the first quarter, as it gained a nine point lead, and from there the Tigers did not look back.

South Gambier fought back valiantly, managing to take the lead by the end of the second quarter.

However, North Gambier rallied and went on to dominate in the second half.

South Gambier fought hard but North Gambier was just too good and ran out 27 point winners.

Sam Baron led the charge for North Gambier with his exceptional performance which saw him claim best on ground.
