WBFL U18  grand final

Under 18
South Gambier once again won the Under 18 competition as the Demons defeated North Gambier to take home the flag.

South Gambier won much more comfortably than it did in 2022 as it emerged victorious with a score of 64 (9.10) to North Gambier’s 16 (2.4).

South Gambier was on top right from the beginning, taking a strong early lead in the first quarter with 21, and the Tigers remained scoreless.

The first half ended with South Gambier 27 points clear of its opposition with North Gambier only scoring a single point in the first half.

South Gambier was the best side all season and in the second half the Demons showed why, as North Gambier fought hard to get back into the match the Demons held the Tigers off.

South Gambier finished 48 point winners with a score line 9.10 (64) to North Gambier 2.4 (16).

Best on ground went to South Gambier’s Rex Jones after an impressive display on field from the young gun.
