A reflective silence fell across towns in the Limestone Coast yesterday morning as residents gathered to pay their respects at Anzac Day services.
Dawn services throughout the region attracted large crowds determined to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Those attending braved cool conditions for the dawn services, before heading off for street marches and mid morning ceremonies.
Many organisers commented on the strong attendance of the younger generations, particularly with school children taking part in the services and laying wreaths in honour of the fallen.
