Coonawarra winery Majella Wines is celebrating after an impressive string of successes at some of Australia’s most prestigious wine shows.
The past few weeks have seen Majella’s wines securing top honours and trophies, showcasing the consistent quality and exceptional winemaking the family-owned winery is celebrated for.
The recent wins included the 2022 Musician by Majella being awarded the Trophy for Best Red Blend at the Cowra Wine Show, underscoring its status as a standout in its category.
At the Rutherglen Wine Show, the Majella 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon took home the coveted Trophy for Best Cabernet Sauvignon in Show, highlighting the winery’s skill and consistency in producing high-quality Cabernet.
The 2022 Musician followed with another triumph, earning the Trophy for Best Red Blend at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show last week, continuing its winning streak.
The Musician, which was first released in 2005, remains one of Majella’s most popular and affordable offerings, yet it has already claimed an astounding 22 trophies to date, making it a benchmark for quality and value.
Situated on the eastern edge of the famous Coonawarra “Terra Rossa” strip, Majella is owned and operated by brothers Brian and Anthony Lynn and the next generation, Peter, Steven, Nerys, Gerard and Daniel.
Majella Director Brian Lynn said the family was thrilled with the recent accolades.
“These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and we’re proud to continue crafting wines that reflect the best of the Coonawarra region,” he said.
Majella Wines has been a hallmark of the region’s winemaking prowess for decades.
With nearly 100 trophies awarded in both Australian and international competitions, Majella continues to set the standard for excellence in the industry.
The Lynn family has been in Coonawarra for four generations and the Majella vineyards were first established in 1968.
