The second week of Fast4 tennis saw players contend with very warm and windy conditions at Olympic Park.

On the centre courts, Mount Schank made it two wins on the trot to start to the season, with a clean sweep against Double Dutch 6-24 to 0-11.

It was a dominating performance all round by Mount Schank, while Double Dutch welcomed some new players on the scene and they are sure to improve over the next few weeks and could cause some upsets.

The only other undefeated team to start this season is Court Jesters.

They seem to have formed a steady combination that will be very hard to knock over each week. This time they had a tight contest with Mil Lel Green.

The young Mil Lel side certainly put in some good performances, but just fell short, going down 2-16 to 4-17.

Jorja Douglas stood out for Mil Lel, securing two of her three sets in fine fashion, whilst Sergio Cesaro led the way with his experience, going undefeated in his three sets.

Too Cole for School showed glimpses of last season’s form this week, securing their first win of the season over Mil Lel White 4-17 to 2-15.

Although missing one of their regulars, Ali Auld, Too Cole for School still had contributors across the board.

David Cole led from the front, going undefeated on the night.

Karen Douglas showed some promising form for Mil Lel, helping her team go close with two great wins.

In the last match, Suttontown took on The Violet Crumbles.

This was again another close match, with Suttontown taking the points 4-19 to 2-17.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, The Violet Crumbles had an entirely different side to last week, so it was great to see some new faces on the court for the Fast4 competition.

They held their own in all bar one set and were very unlucky not to win on the night.

Four sets had a result of 4-3, with Suttontown securing the win in three of those.

They could have easily gone the other way and the result would have been very different.
