Kybybolite v Penola
Penola’s title defence is over after it fell four goals short in the 2022 Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association elimination final on Sunday.
The Eagles faced off against Kybybolite and both sides needed the win to advance through to the next game.
The Tigers scoring ability across the four quarters of play was immense and the efforts of Georgie Maggi set up the win with a huge 14-5 first term.
But to Penola’s credit they found something after quarter time and came home with a wet sail with April Possingham on fire.
Despite the late charge the Eagles still fell short and their dream of back-to-back titles is over.
Border Districts v Keith
Border Districts and Keith faced off in the qualifying final which kicked off finals at Kybybolite.
A tight contest was had in the first quarter but in the second term the Crows outplayed the Hawks to go into the main break one goal ahead.
After a closely contested third term Keith outscored Border Districts to go on to win the game by six goals.
Lily Pfitzner was named in the best for the Hawks while Whitney Smith flew high for the Crows.
Semi-finals preview – Lucindale V Keith
Lucindale has been the top side all year and will come up against Keith in an important semi-final.
The last time these two teams faced off was back in round 11 where the Roos were all class.
Emillie Gould and Trudy Lane will be the keys for Lucindale while the Crows will turn to Erika Lamont and Whitney Smith to stage an upset.
Border Districts v Kybybolite
This will be one of the closest games in the finals to date with both teams matched up evenly across the court and the side that settles first will get the win.
The last time these two teams met the Hawks won by one goal so the Tigers will be out for revenge and advance to the next final.
Kybybolite needs Chelsea Bull and Charlee Hodges to find the ring while the keys for Border Districts will be Emma Hausler and Kelsie Moyle-Read.
