Farmer wants a life in politics

It could be third-time lucky for Tintinara farmer Jonathan Pietzsch as latest figures show he is close to securing a seat on the Coorong District Council.

He is one of 15 candidates seeking one of the seven area councillor seats.

The married father of two daughters has just contested his third election in the space of seven months.

He was the unsuccessful Nationals candidate for the state seat of MacKillop at the March poll and then represented his party with the same outcome when he contested the Federal seat of Barker in May.

Come what may, 2022 will be a memorable year for Mr Pietzsch for reasons unrelated to politics.

His wife Shelby is pregnant with their third child.
