Junior championship contested

The 2022 South East Tennis Association Junior Singles Championships were played at Lucindale Country Club recently.

More than 60 players enjoyed the lawn courts impressively prepared as always by Lucindale Country Club greenskeeper Don Thiele.

While the weather was typical of this summer we have been having, coolish with more sprinkles of rain than we would like, the kids seemed to enjoy the day regardless.

There were some quality matches on display with more than a few matches exceeding one hour in length.

Well done to all the participants and thank you to the parents who support their children to attend this event.

Thank you also to all the Lucindale Tennis volunteers without whom the event would not be possible.

Mount Gambier and Districts Tennis Association life member and long time junior president Cassie Edwards presented the trophies to the winners.
