Police Commissioner Grant Stevens will visit Millicent next month to mark the restoration of the sole heritage-listed building in the Millicent township.
The former police lock-up between Davenport and George streets dates back to the 1870s and has been restored to its former glory.
Members of the SA Police Historical Society will also be coming to Millicent on April 28 to unveil a plaque to coincide with the annual police foundation day.
It is likely the famed grey horses from the SA Mounted Cadre will be present.
Commissioner Stevens was last in Millicent in 2021 when he privately presented brave conduct and other medals to serving police.
He has a number of other official engagements in the region next month.
