Burst of sunshine gets golfers out

The Millicent Golf Club’s women’s competition took to the greens in very warm conditions for the Anne Whitty Memorial Trophy.

There were 21 women who turned out to play a par competition.

A Grade was won by Kirsty Bailey with +7, with Kathy Webber runner up +3 on countback.

In the B Grade Mary Warneke’s +1 proved too good for runner up Lois Tilley with -1.

Nearest the pins went to Mardi Sunderland (3rd), Kirsty Bailey (13th), Kirsty Bailey (2nd shot 16th hcp 0-24), Mary Warneke (2nd shot 17th hcp 25-54) and Lois Tilley (2nd shot 5th hcp 32-

45).

The nine hole competition on the back nine went to Kirsty Bailey (+5), while ball winners were Mardi Sunderland (+3), Bronwyn Clarke( +1) and Heather Anderson (-1).
