Golfers tee up monthly medal round win

In perfect weather conditions Millicent Golf Club had 18 women play a stroke round for the monthly medal.

The competition also counted putts and fairways, with congratulations to Karen Lock on her amazing score, which made her the monthly medal winner.

In the A Grade Heather Anderson’s nett 75 won the day, with Kathy Webber runner up on countback with nett 76.

Karen Lock’s nett 66 was the standout in B Grade, with Sharne Peacock runner up with nett 74.

Lock also claimed the nine hole comp, back nine, with Anderson recording 29 putts and Sue Ireland 14 fairways.

Lock won the nearest the pin 3rd, while the 2nd shot 12th (handicap 0-24) went to Webber, 2nd shot 5th (handicap 25-54) Bec Shanks, and 2nd shot 17th (handicap 32-54) Karen Altschwager.

Annie McLennan 75, Virginia DeDonatis 76 and Lois Tilley 76 were the ball winners.
