Afield of 22 women took to the course in warm and windy conditions to play a nine- hole Ambrose competition at Millicent Golf Club.

The competition was followed by a lunch and trophy presentation.

Ambrose winners were Mardi Sunderland, Kristy Bailey, Virginia DeDonatis and Heather Anderson.

Kirsty Bailey and Mary Winser with nett 74 won the Shylie Rymill; Virginia DeDonatis with nett 70 won the international bowl silver while Julie McKenzie nett 72 claimed the international bowl bronze.

Virginia DeDonatis defeated Sue Ireland to win the laurel wreath, while Karen Lock and Debbie Tincknell won the club foursomes.

The president’s trophy went to Virginia DeDonatis with 144, while Julie McKenzie with 147 won the captain’s trophy.

The Olympic event was won by Debbie Tincknell, Glenis Skeer won the short course Olympic event and DeDonatis claimed the Hong Kong cup.

Val Williams with 41 points won the Margaret Young eclectic, Sunderland’s nett 57.5 claimed the eclectic board A Grade, with Carmel Cory’s 63.5 earning her the eclectic board B Grade.

Williams won the eclectic short course, with DeDonatis and Kathy Webber winning the ferret board.

The monthly medal went to Alex Lambert with nett 74, who also won the Nitschke pin.

Williams received the Anne Whitty memorial, while DeDonatis was awarded the Heather Walker memorial.
