Residents help raise MND funds

South East residents have shown their generosity by supporting the Fight MND Big Freeze campaign.

The Mount Gambier Coles store sold out of its Big Freeze fundraising beanies, as well as donating 10 cents from the sale from 90 Coles pork products and 20 cents from certain specially-marked pork products.

Shoppers at Mount Gambier Coles shoppers helped the store raise just over $45,000, placing them in the top five in the country.

The region was the only South Australian store to make it in the top five in the nation, with the remaining top stores in Victoria.

In SA, Mount Gambier raised $45,111, followed by Gawler Green $30,041, Gawler $26,457, Mount Barker $23,600 and West Lakes $19, 229.
