Nissan has elevated it’s top-of-the-range Navara PRO-4X even further, with the WARRIOR forged in formidable Aussie conditions through vehicle enhancement company Premcar.
Using the popular Narava platform, Premcar has designed, engineered and tested a host of upgrades and enhancements to the PRO-4X utility in Australia, taking the 4×4’s off-road capability to the next level designed specifically for the harshest Aussie conditions.
While at the heart of the beast is the same 2.3-litre twin turbocharged intercooled turbo diesel engine punching out 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque through a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, the WARRIOR takes care of a suite of other upgrades that most offroad enthusiasts like to perform when purchasing a new 4×4.
But what makes the Nissan Navara PRO-4X WARRIOR truly special, is the fact all of these goodies are covered by the manufacturer’s factory five year warranty! Inside the factory Navara PRO-4X interior has also received a bit of love, with an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support and heated front seating, as well as premium hard-wearing leather seats with WARRIOR embroidered headrests.
You are also well connected inside the cabin, with an 8-inch touchscreen display featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for seamless smartphone integration, while you can also stream all your favourite audio via Bluetooth with full use of the steering wheel controls.
All your favourite mod-cons are also packed into the utility for ultimate driving convenience, with the Navara PRO-4X WARRIOR utilising Intelligent Key remote keyless entry, high beam assist and cruise control to simplify everyday driving – and while you cannot control the weather outside, the WARRIOR helps you adapt thanks to automatic rain-sensing wipers, a UV and heat-rejecting windscreen and dual zone climate control with rear air vents.

So with all these enhancements packed into Nissan’s Navara PRO-4X package, the question is just how does the upgraded WARRIOR perform? And the answer is simple – unreal!
At highway speeds quite often vehicles with upgraded lift kits and big chunky tyres are floaty and noisy – but not the PRO-4X WARRIOR! The Navara is firmly planted on the road and resembles the ride quality of a larger SUV.
The amount of noise – or lack thereof – from the beefier tyres is also impressive, especially given the larger size over the standard PRO-4X.
The wider track width definitely helps keep the utility stick to the road surface, while the steering response is also to be commended.
When launching off highway into the pines the Navara PRO-4X WARRIOR gets even better – and even the newest of off-roaders will feel confident behind the wheel thanks to the increased ground clearance and steel underbody protection keeping everything underneath the utility safely tucked away behind the bashplates.
