The Majestic Vanners Australia SA chapter is revving with anticipation, bringing the SA State Titles and SA Van In #03 to the Limestone Coast community this weekend.
The “van in’ has previously been held in Port Hughes but due to the interest in the Limestone Coast the two events have been combined into one action packed weekend.
The main event will take place at the Valley Lake from 10am -2pm on Sunday, March 13 with a $5 entry fee for attendees over 16.
The occasion will raise money for the Mount Gambier and District Suicide Prevention Network and the Naracoorte and Districts Suicide Prevention Network.
Co-organiser Ali Slotegraaf said the causes were close to the heart of the local community.
“Most people have been affected by suicide.
“Nearly everyone knows someone that has died from suicide or struggled with depression,” she said.
“Last year we raised $1600 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and we are hoping to donate as much as possible to both of our groups this year.
“We have sourced most of our sponsorship from Mount Gambier and Naracoorte so we would like them to benefit from the money we are raising.”
On Saturday night the SA chapter will hold a dinner and auction goods donated by sponsors and club members.
Mrs Slotegraaf said organisers would like to thank all the sponsors who have donated.
“We have been very well looked after by the local community.
“Our sponsors make events like these possible,” she said.
