Ambrose teed up

Ahuge field of 48 ladies contested a three person Ambrose in cool and windy conditions at the Mount Gambier Golf Club last week.


The team of Vicki Clark, Leanne Hunt and Jan Shanahan won the event, which was sponsored by stalwart supporter Anne Schrapel.


Their score of 62.5 nett was followed closely by runnersup Bev Pedlar, Kerry Pedlar and Janina Morrison on 62.67.


The team with the best front nine comprised Andrea Pedlar, Bernie Jennings and Karen Forster and the pro-shot was taken by Vicki Clark.


Other teams of note were Heather Chapman, Helen McIntyre, and Carol Davis; Jane Lamont, Lorraine Bruhn and Sue Ryan; Deb Fowler, Gail Stephenson and Robyn Williams; and finally Penne Saffin and Heather Barry with last week’s victor Di O’ Donnell.


Players and guests are kindly reminded the Christmas Golf Day will commence at 8.30am for a 9am tee off, followed by lunch and festivities.
