It has been a busy start to 2023 for the Imagine Millicent community arts group.

Also known as IMAG, members have been planning their next major fundraiser.

“Millicent Met” is a wearable art competition which will be staged on October 14 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

All entries will have the opportunity to exhibit their garments on the runway.

There will be several categories including best dressed, most imaginative, upcycling extraordinaire, student award and people’s choice.

All garments will be exhibited in a venue for the 2023 Geltwood Crafts Festival which starts the following week.

Entry forms and more details will be available in the near future.

Meanwhile, IMAG has been gifted almost $10,000 from the defunct Millicent Community Builders.

It has been in recess for a number of years.
