Limestone Coast Local Health Network board director John Irving has been made a Member of the Order of Australia (A.M.) in the Australia Day Honours List.

The Adelaide businessman, company director and accountant was recognised for his service to the arts and to business.

He has been a LCLHN board director since 2019 an is a past chairman of its finance and performance sub-committee.

Mr Irving spent many years chairing the boards of State Opera of South Australia and the State Theatre Company.

Among his other board roles have been the South Australian Tourist Commission, Port Adelaide Football Club and the Royal South Australian Deaf Society.

His business interests include residential property development.
