Board member appointed

Naracoorte Lucindale Mayor Patrick Ross (pictured) has been appointed as a member of the Millicent-based South Eastern Water Conservation and Drainage Board.

Mr Ross has a farming background and was elected to the mayoralty almost a year ago.

His nomination was endorsed at a recent meeting of the Limestone Coast Local Government Association in Naracoorte.

Former Robe District Council chief executive James Holyman was the previous local government nominee and had served for almost two years.

Mr Holyman had been at the helm of the seaside council since 2019 and resigned two months ago.

There are three landholder elected representatives on the Drainage Board along with various ministerial appointments made by Environment Minister and Deputy Premier Dr Susan Close.
