The countdown is on until The SE Voice hosts its inaugural bridal showcase at the picturesque Apple Farm.

The two local businesses are joining forces to host a jam-packed expo in the grounds of the popular venue.

The showcase will be held on Sunday, March 20.

Apple Farm owner Kelsie Prowse said she was looking forward to bringing together members of the Limestone Coast wedding industry.

“It’s been a tough two years for those of us in the industry,” she said.

“COVID restrictions have seen so many events not only rescheduled but cancelled.

“It will be so nice to bring everyone involved in the industry back together and to showcase the many talented people who have so much to offer.”

Mrs Prowse said people were starting to see the light at the end of the COVID tunnel, with party planning slowly returning to normal.

“There’s no doubt it’s been difficult for everyone involved in our industry during the pandemic,” she said.

“But as restrictions are easing and the spread of the virus slows we are seeing people looking to the future and starting to plan their events.”

The SE Voice’s owner/editor Lechelle Earl said she was proud to team up with The Apple Farm to co-host such a fun event.

“The Apple Farm is such a picturesque location and just seemed a natural fit to host our expo,” she said.

“The SE Voice likes to try different things so we have produced a quality glossy wedding magazine and thought it would be ideal to launch it as part of a bridal showcase.

“We hope that brides and grooms from around the region will attend the expo and experience the range of quality businesses on offer to help plan their special day.

“We are expecting about 50 local businesses to take part, giving those planning weddings the perfect one-stop-shop for information.”

The SE Voice will launch its annual wedding magazine, a glossy publication filled with a wide array of information for brides and grooms planning their weddings in the region, as part of the expo.

To comply with COVID restrictions the bridal showcase will be held in two sessions.

The first will be from 10am to 1pm, followed by a 2pm-5pm session.
