Chamber reinvented

The Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce board has been busy over the past few months, assigning new team members and undergoing reinvention.

Emma Lamb has been appointed as the new Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce executive officer and will handle the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

Two specialist roles have also been appointed, with Kelsie Prowse on board as event coordinator and Kate Hill as the member liaison officer.

Local business expert Shylie Harrison from Spectrum Business Management has helped reinvent The Chamber’s strategy and improve their understanding of their purpose to members.

The organisation will touch base with members over the next few months to better understand their communication and event preferences.

The Chamber has also reworked their successful ‘Mix and Mingle’ format to add extra value for members with their new ‘Ask Me Anything’ format.

Specialists in their field will be invited along so members can ask them questions and attendees will receive practical advice for their business while enjoying a wine or two with Chamber members.

A special event will be held at The Henty on April 19 where members will hear from The Chamber president Candice Fennell, vice president Michael Kosch, treasurer Hayley Neumann, board members Cathy Lunnay and Matt Kain, Ms Prowse, Ms Hill and Ms Lamb.

The board will discuss what 2023 holds for The Chamber and people are encouraged to bring along their ideas and opinions and share what they want from the board.

The board said they work to the principle ‘together we are stronger’ and value the opinions of members.
