Championship returns

The year will finish in style at Mac Park with the running of the South Australian Historic Road Race Championships.

Run by the Historic Motor Cycle Racing Register of South Australia, the event will run over December

30 and 31 and feature a huge variety of historic racing motorcycles.

More than 100 riders are expected to enter, many bringing with them multiple bikes that range in age from 30 to 80 years.

As always, each race promises to be a great spectacle as riders vie to be crowned state champion in their respective classes.

The bikes may be old, but the riders certainly do not hold back out on track, with close and frenetic racing the norm.

The only thing the riders like more than riding their bikes is talking about them, and spectators are welcome to tour the pits and get up and close to the action.

Entry is only $10 per day, $15 for the weekend and under 16 free.
