A41-year-old man from the Limestone Coast has been arrested and charged with two counts of possessing child exploitation material.

Detectives from the Special Crimes Investigation Section arrested the man on Friday, and it will be alleged that the offences occurred in July 2022.

The man is currently serving a term of imprisonment for possessing child exploitation material on a separate occasion.

He was granted police bail to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on May 6.

Detective Senior Sergeant Amanda Lewis, Manager Special Crimes Investigation Section, commented on the arrest.

“The viewing of child exploitation material videos and images is not a victimless crime,” she said.
