Choral society tradition continues

Apre-Christmas tradition will continue in Millicent on November 27 when members of the Millicent Choral Society present a carol service.

It will be held at 2.30pm at the hall of the Millicent Uniting Church.

Unlike some of the Christmas presentations of previous years by the Millicent singing group in local churches, it will not resemble the world-famous Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols which was first held on Christmas Eve 1918 at the Chapel of King’s College, Cambridge, England.

Instead, the 2022 function has reverted to an informal format and billed as “Coffee, Cake and Carols”.

Joining the Millicent Choral Society on the program will be the choir of Newbery Park Primary School.

The adult admission fee is $15 and proceeds will go to the Wattle Range Mayoral Christmas Appeal.
