Christmas support praised

Members of the local community have rallied to support Uniting Care’s Christmas donations. Local coordinator Jan Stafford was full of praise for both businesses and the community in supporting the cause.

“SAL Real estate once again supported Uniting Care by receiving unwrapped gifts for distribution in our community,” she said.

“Because of the generosity of so many, we were able to give 105 gifts to families doing it tough.

“A heartfelt thank you to the people from Mount Gambier East and Elizabeth Street Uniting Churches who assisted with wrapping gifts and distributing hampers, making Christmas a little brighter for so many.

“There were also donations received through the Mayors Christmas Appeal, SAL Real Estate, The Men’s Shed, members of the community, East Gambier and the Uniting Church and Elizabeth Street Uniting Church.”
