North Gambier v Casterton Sandord
Casterton Sandford will travel across the border to take on North Gambier at Vansittart Park in Sunday’s Limestone Coast Women’s Football League action.
The Tigers are coming off a great win against a tough opponent in Mundulla last weekend while the Cats suffered a loss on Friday night to Kyby.
Despite getting the win last week, North still had areas to improve in such as their goal kicking which kept Mundulla in the game as they scored eight points to their nine goals.
Casterton on the other hand left it a bit late to push for the win against Kyby, only kicking their first goal in the final term.
Casterton will need to start this game strong while the Tigers will need to be a lot more accurate so they can put away teams.
Given how they have been playing overall I think the Tigers will come out on top in this one.
Penola v Millicent
This Sunday Penola and Millicent will face off at McDonald Park.
Penola are coming off a thrilling two point win last week against South while Millicent rested up with the bye.
Both sides have had very different seasons so far and as it gets closer to finals every game matters, especially if they want to hold their spot in the top four.
As the Eagles sit on the edge of the top four, a win on Sunday will help them hold their spot as well as boost the chance at moving up the ladder.
The Eagles have also hit some nice form heading into finals as they are currently on a three game winning streak with some solid wins.
With that in mind, I think the Eagles will continue their winning streak and pick up win number five for the season.
Mundulla v Kongorong
Mundulla will take on Kongorong this Sunday at Vansittart Park.
The Hawks are coming off a big win over Nangwarry last week while Mundulla picked up another loss.
The Tigers have struggled over the past few weeks, losing two out of their last three games with that win only being two points.
Like a lot of other teams, the Tigers are in desperate need of a win to get them back on track before finals.
I think Mundulla will bounce back after the tough loss last week and get back on the winners list against the Hawks.
Kybybolite v South Gambier
Kybybolite will take on South Gambier this Sunday at McDonald Park.
The undefeated Kyby are coming off a great win last week against the Cats while the Dees suffered a heartbreaking loss to Penola, falling short by only two points.
So far this season the Tigers have been unstoppable, with their closest victory coming in round two where the margin was three points.
South on the other hand started the season a little shaky but they have found their feet over the past few weeks and have moved up the ladder rapidly.
Despite the Dees’ recent success I do not think they will be able to match the experience that Kyby has, given the South team is quite young.
I think the Tigers will come out on top in this game but I do not think it will be a walk in the park as South has shown they aren’t afraid of a challenge.
