Kalangadoo v Robe
Kalangadoo is set to host Robe this weekend in what will likely be a close game in round 16 of the 2022 Mid South East Netball season.
The Roosters’ strength in the goal circle through Halle Carter and Sarah Laurie will mean the defending Magpies in Reanna Wetherall and Lauren Kain will have to work overtime to shut down their influence.
Down the other end of the court Abbey Duncan and Kori Collins shoot with accuracy and are fed well from outside the circle by Jayde Peacock and Kirsty Egan.
The match up of Lucy Perkins and Sophie Wrightson on the wing will be one to watch with Robe not going down without a fight.
Kongorong v Hatherleigh
The Eagles head down to Kongorong on Saturday to face off against the young Hawks team.
Hatherleigh’s defensive combination of Demi Vanderhorst, Lara MacGregor and Chelsea Galpin has proven to be difficult for their opposition to move the ball through so Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey must combine well for the Hawks.
Kongorong’s height in defence through Emily Lightbody and Riley Buckingham will make it hard for Hatherleigh’s Tegan Telfer and Erin Watson to score, creating possible turnovers inside the circle.
The added pressure of Lynley Page on the circle edge will also create more pressure but Hatherleigh’s attack line should rise to the challenge.
Tantanoola v Port MacDonnell
The Tigers and the Demons are set to face off in the match of the round and after a close game in round 6 Tantanoola will be looking for redemption.
Casey Walker and Madi Kelly will feed accurately into Emma Gould and Jami Walker in the Tigers’ circle, but Port MacDonnell’s defenders Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine will put the pressure on.
The experience and accuracy of Toni Gilmore paired with Brooke Williams in the goal circle will leave minimal opportunities for Tantanoola’s defenders.
Both of these teams will be fighting for the win, chasing any loose balls and fighting hard for any potential rebounds.
This game has the potential to go either way with each team fighting for the points.
Mount Burr v Nangwarry
The Saints head to Mount Burr this weekend.
The Mozzies defensive combination of Madi Haggett and Olivia Dean has proven to be a formidable force and they will put the pressure on Tahlia Wilson and Ange Pratt.
The tussle down the court between Hayley Burner and Laura Schultz through the centre will be key with both players fighting for every pass and chasing any loose balls.
Mount Burr should finish the day with the points.
