Community gets chance to address politicians

Naracoorte is set to follow the example of Mount Gambier and host a community forum where members of the public can pose questions directly to members of State Cabinet.

The Blue Lake city hosted such an open meeting in 2022.

Premier Peter Malinauskas announced last week the next meeting of State Cabinet in a regional area would be within the boundaries of the seat of MacKillop.

Although the venue and dates have yet to be revealed, The SE Voice has confirmed Naracoorte will host a community forum well before Christmas.

The last State Cabinet gathering in MacKillop was in 2015 and took the form of a lunch for 150 invited guests at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre.
