Council looks to budget

Preparations for the 2022/23 Budget for Wattle Range Council began in earnest in Millicent last week.

Councillors spent much of one day in a workshop and heard presentations from staff.

Seven such workshops were held in 2021 before the draft $25m 2021/22 budget was adopted and released for public comment.

It is understood a customary tour of the region by Wattle Range councillors and senior staff part of the yearly budget preparation process will not go ahead this year.
