Prepare to sing to your favourite 80’s rock classics and enjoy a full day of family friendly entertainment this month at Nelson’s Twilight Cinema event.
Musical comedy film Rock of Ages will hit the big screen at Nelson’s riverbank on Saturday, March 19 as part of the Glenelg Shire’s latest outdoor cinema event with live music, a pop-up outdoor bar and local markets also on offer for event goers.
Glenelg Shire Mayor Anita Rank said it was fantastic to see the return of local events.
“The Glenelg River is the perfect place to kick off our Twilight Cinema roadshow and we cannot wait to welcome locals and tourists to the popular township for a full day of music, movies and more,” she said.
“Outdoor markets will commence from 12pm, with live music and a pop-up outdoor bar at the Nelson Hotel starting from 5pm.
“Then settle in at 8.30pm with your camping chair, bean bag or picnic rug for the Twilight Cinema.
“It is not very often you get the chance to watch a movie on a cinema sized screen while sitting on the riverbank enjoying an Autumn’s evening with friends and family.
“So grab the family and head to Nelson for a day full of free family friendly entertainment as part of the Twilight Cinema roadshow.”
