Court proceedings continue for Bell

Court proceedings against re-elected Independent Mount Gambier MP Troy Bell continued in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

Mr Bell has been charged with 52 counts of deception over his claims to the Country Members Accommodation Allowance between 2015 and 2020.

He was not in court and was represented by his lawyer Rachael Shaw.

Prosecutor Angas van Balen told the court that he expected Mr Bell to be present.

Magistrate Kym Millard ordered the matter will return to court in May.
