Crash victim succumbs to injuries

A man has died following a crash at Tintinara earlier this month.

The two-car collision occurred at the intersection of the Dukes Highway and Fullwood Road, Tintinara about 12.45pm on Wednesday, April 10.

The driver of a Mazda hatch, a 91-year-old Tintinara man, and his 98-year-old male passenger, were both taken to the local hospital.

Sadly, the driver subsequently died of his injuries on Monday, April 22.

The driver of the Kia, a 17-year-old girl from Victoria, and her 53-year-old female passenger were not injured in the crash.

Major Crash investigators are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

The elderly man’s death is the 28th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
