The under 15 Mount Gambier and District Cricket Association side has been announced for the Horsham carnival in January.

The team has been made up of the best young talent the local league has to offer and comprises players from both the under 17 O’Donoghue Shield and the under 14 Hall Trophy.

Under 17 players Archer Virtanen and Noah Virtanen will be representing their club Mil Lel, with Noah currently the leading wicket taker in the O’Donoghue Shield.

The Mil Lel under 17s players will be joined in Horsham by their club’s under 14 players Lachlan Cameron and Oliver McCracken.

McCracken is currently tied for second for wickets in the Hall Trophy.

West Gambier has one player each from its under 17 side and under 14s, with Jaxon Hewlett and Connor Tweddle selected.

South Gambier under 17 and under 14 player Ethan Hunt has been chosen alongside Millicent under-17 Cambell Hateley and Oskar Howell.

Millicent will also have representation from its under 14s with Isaac Chambers.

The side has top up players Harrison Hicks (Mil Lel), Jagger Geary (South), Tayte Virtanen(Mil Lel), Evan Clark (East Gambier) and Anush Banik Das (East Gambier).

The team will be training together in the weeks before they travel to Horsham for the carnival.

The Horsham Country Carnival will take place over a week starting on January 3.
