Racing returns to Mount Gambier’s McNamara Park Raceway this weekend, with the running of Round 1 of the South Australian Road Racing Championships, BEARS (British, European, and American Race Series) and the Easter Cup.
With 125 riders entered, it is shaping up to be the biggest modern-bike meeting held at Mac Park in decades.
Large grids in all the 44 races promise a great spectacle.
Regular Australian Superbike (ASBK) competitor Michael Kemp will be racing in the superbike class and ASBK Supersport front runner and club local Dallas Skeer will be looking for victory in the 600cc class.
Racing will be fierce in the smaller classes with several ASBK Supersport 300 riders vying for the win.
Following on from its success last year, the bLU cRU juniors will be out in force as well.
This Motorcycling Australia initiative to encourage young riders to enter the sport is going from strength to strength and its great to see the next generation of riders be supported.
Qualifying will take place Saturday morning, with racing Saturday afternoon and all-day Sunday, culminating in the prestigious Easter Cup feature races.
Full catering and bar facilities will be available, and entry is only $10 per day or $15 for the weekend with under 16 free.
