Cup runs over with morning tea donations

Wendy Dicenso filled her cup with donations for the SA Cancer Council at her annual The Biggest Morning Tea event at the Moorak Hall.

The event saw 90 guests walk through the doors to enjoy a spread of homemade goodies, coffee and tea, a trading table, and an abundance of raffle and lucky door prizes.

This year’s gathering raised $2360, which was slightly more than last year’s which raised over $2000.

Mrs Dicenso said she would not be able to run the event without her team of committed volunteers.

“A huge thanks to Karen Jones as this event would not be possible without all her hard work,” she said.

“I appreciate all the help by volunteers and the generosity of the local businesses who donated goods or funds for this important

cause.

“Every dollar we raise can hopefully make a difference and save more lives from this horrible disease.”
