The 2022 DairySA Innovation Day is approaching on June 1 at The Barn, a much-anticipated event which will bring dairy farmers and service providers together.
DairySA Innovation Day committee chair Andrew Cavill said the event was cancelled the past two years due to COVID, so they were confident and looking forward to this year.
“It will be exciting to have it back again for the first time in three years,” he said.
“I have been going for a lot of years now and it’s just a great way to catch up with other farmers and service providers.
“We usually get quite a bit over 100 people there which is really good for our industry, so we’ll be looking forward to getting as many there as possible again this year.”
Mr Cavill said there was a great line-up of speakers who would address important issues to those on dairy farms including Dr Jennie Pryce, Tom Cosentino, Dr Bill Wales and Peter Thurn.
Concurrent sessions will give people the opportunity to listen and engage with a speaker of their choice, including Dr Rebel Skirving, Bill Wales and Prof Kevin Smith, followed by a pre-dinner graze and a two course dinner.
Mr Cavill encouraged people to come along and enjoy the day because it would be great to all get back together again.
“DairySA is very proud to run this conference and we will be looking forward to seeing as many people as possible there,” he said.
DairySA Conference coordinator Cathy Ashby said the Innovation Day was a collaborative approach between DairySA and South East South Australian dairy farmers.
“This conference will give delegates the opportunity to hear new ideas, observations and pathways for their dairy future,” she said.
