The Limestone Coast Women’s Football will continue this weekend with round 4 being played again at two different venues.
Last week saw some sides get a football lesson but they will take that on the chin and will be better for it come their matches this weekend.
South Gambier will play host to Kongorong and these two teams look set to have a great battle.
The Hawks are coming off back-to-back wins while the Demons are winless so far but are continuing to gain momentum each week.
The Demons will have the home ground advantage and know how best to play their own deck, however the Hawks also played there in the last round and are sure to be up and about.
Kongorong has some admirable players in Janita Galloway, Jasmin McKinnon, Kate Wright and Evie Sealey who all seem to be ball magnets and not afraid to run, while South Gambier will need Jarrah Altschwager, Sophie Wight, Ella Guest and Lana Shepherd all to be focussed on the task at hand if they are to get their first win.
Kybybolite will come up against a fresh Millicent side after its bye last week and this seems sure to be a tough contest.
Both teams will be looking to get their season off with a win and gain valuable momentum as the home and away rounds move forward.
The Tigers are rebuilding a reputable team while the Saints are in the same boat and need everyone on the same page.
Kyby will need players like Meg Ross, Ruby Sambell, Emily Baldwin and Erin Ewer to be strong and for Millicent they will look to Meredith Turner, Lilly Hately, Kelsie Cockrum and Alannah Pratt to be ready to fire come game time.
To round out the remaining games for round 4 Penola will take on ladder leaders North Gambier.
The Tigers are three and zip at the moment and are ruthless every time they hit the ground, while the Eagles have one win from two games after having the bye in the first round.
This should be an epic battle as both teams match up well and have the ability to make the other team pay for their mistakes.
Penola has reigning league medallist Caroline McGrath and will need her leading from the front with support from Ellise Berkin, Heidi Berkin, Amanda Wurst and Simone McDonald and for North it will be Penny Coleman, Fiona Young, Paris Ackland and Luca Roulstone leading from the front.
In the final game it will be Mundulla on its home ground playing host to Casterton Sandford.
These two sides have had some great battles since the formation of the league and it will be no different come game time on Sunday.
Both teams sit three and four respectively on the ladder early in the season and both are contenders come finals time.
The Cats play some hard and tough football while maintaining possession of the ball, while Mundulla is a fast-running side that carry the ball well.
This looks set to be a good game of women’s football with tough in and under contests.
Casterton Sandford will need a good team effort and will be led by Libby Altorfer, Emma Lynch, Amelia Thomas and Alena Tranter.
Mundulla will need Casey Mcelroy, Erin Horsnell, Kellsey Hinge and Zoe Hawker on the money for the Tigers to get the four points.
