Discover Catholic Education this August

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions that a parent makes.

Catholic Schools Open Week is on again from August 22‐28, providing an opportunity for families to visit their local Catholic school and explore the benefits of a Catholic education.

Many Catholic schools will open their doors throughout the week for school tours and open days, all run with COVID-safe protocols.

Some have virtual tours on their websites, so families can get a taste of what a Catholic school can offer without having to leave home!

“Catholic Education South Australia is an educational sector that is committed to providing excellence for every child and young person whose learning and education is entrusted to our care.

“We want every student to experience success according to their unique characteristics and talent,” Catholic Education South Australia Director Dr Neil McGoran said.

“Catholic schools believe in teaching more than the curriculum.

“They instil values that last well beyond the schooling experience, they’re ingrained for life.

“Catholic Schools Open Week is an opportunity for any parent considering a Catholic education for their child to meet their local Catholic school and discover why Catholic education is a choice worth making.”

There are over 100 tours and event happening across the state.

School tours and open days are a great way to see a school in action, meet the teachers and experience the learning environment.

Mount Gambier’s Tenison Woods College, offering Early Years to Year 12 Catholic education, is hosting a Principal’s Tour on Wednesday, August 24 at 9am.

St Anthony’s School in Millicent and Penola’s Mary MacKillop Memorial School both offer Reception to Year 6 education.

Personal principal tours can be booked via the school’s websites.
