Limestone Coast Police detected four drink drivers across the region over the weekend.
About 10.45pm on Friday police stopped a 23-year-old Blair Athol man on Saleyards Road, Bordertown. Checks on his licence revealed he was the holder of a P2 driver’s licence. He was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.101.
He was reported for drink driving and issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
A 41-year-old Bordertown man was stopped on Adamson Terrace, Bordertown about 5.20pm on Saturday. The man was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.147.
He was reported for drink driving and issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
Police stopped a man driving on Ferrers Street, Mount Gambier about 3.20am on Sunday. The driver, a 51-year-old from Mount Gambier, was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.170.
He was reported for drink driving, issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.
About 7.15am on Monday, a 54-year-old Penola woman was stopped by police on Bond Road, Penola, for a roadside breath test. The woman allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.216, more than four times the legal limit.
She was reported for drink driving, issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and her car was impounded for 28 days.
The four people will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
